Interview: Mike Sinterniklaas

Recently, I had the pleasure of sitting down with voice actor and voice director, Mike Sinterniklaas. Mike has made an impact of the animation world through his on screen work for The Venture Brothers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bleach, One Piece and countless other series. He is also a very invaluable resource behind the scenes as he is one of the most successful and respected voice directors in the industry. Recently, Mike served as the voice director for the Studio Ghibli release “The Boy and The Heron” by the great Hayao Miyazaki(Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke).

We touched on quite a few subjects in this interview including  celebrities in voice acting and the effect it has on the animation industry. I hope you enjoy this interview, it was my first in quite a long time. So if I seem a bit rusty…well I’ll get it right next time!

and don’t forget to check out The Boy and The Heron, starring a stellar cast featuring Florence Pugh, Robert Pattinson, and Christian Bale playing in theaters right now!
